friday night out.

i hardly ever go out friday nights.
doesnt really scream anything special.
i like to stay home.

but last friday, my sister wanted to go out.
so out it was.

so my friday night out started out with
the most harassing train journey i have ever taken.
seriously.
i traveled only 2 stops, but it took me about half an hour.
it began at city hall.
being squashed into the train like a tin of sardines.
no really. didnt have to walk in at all,
cos we were all being shoved along by god knows what.
crammed up against 5 or 6 other people surrounding you
in all manner of odd positions.
then it was another battle just getting out.
that was only one stop.

shuffled along for a mile to the other train
destination: little india.
oh dear, another terror on the way there.
but enough about the trains.

dinner at a north indian restaurant.
for the life of me, i cant remember the name of the place.
but i remember someone wanted to eat there before..
also have no idea what we ordered
cos darren called up his uncle rocky who spoke to the waiter,
who then said he would take care of everything.
so. mutton masala, chicken tikka masala (we think), fish something (but very very goood!! mmM!) and cauliflower something..
plus briyani and garlic naan.. and mango lassi for me! yum!
well done i say!
i must say, uncle rocky is a big shot here..
not only did the waiter keep coming out to ask us how everything was,
he came out specially to say goodbye to us, and to say that uncle rocky is his best friend?!
well the best part is we got a discount haha!

how can we go to little india and not pop into the famous mustafa right?!
for a longg time! dont know whattt we were doing in there..
laughing at things, and fooling around..
looking at the obiang el cheapo watches,
then the damn nice ones at the other building!
mmmmmm i like watches...

i hunted around the massive hair accessories section
looking for a hair clip i wanted to get..
but they didnt have any normal looking ones!
the plainest one i found had a huge plastic pig on it.

headed to cineleisure and had some funky ice teas
green tea with peach, english breakfast with raspberry, and erm ice lemon tea for darren.

movie time! STARDUST!
is really really gooood!!
i havent read the book, so i dont know about that aspect of it..
but i must say, its really very well done!
such a mysteriously fantastical and magical tale..
told in such an easy to understand manner..
its a nice fairy tale.. the kind that i like..
the kind that also makes me think a little about my own life..
the kind that i might not mind watching again..

with this post, the weekend ends.
soon, off to bed i will have to go.
