"Roy Keane felled Vieira five yards outside the area, Edu and Pires lined up to take it. In the end the Brazilian stepped up and planted his shot against the wall however it deflected off a defenders head and gently floated into the United net with goalkeeper Fabien Barthez left wrong-footed.
