a bang of a weekend

a ridiculously crazy week its been.
of running all over the place,
lugging things everywhere,
waking up at 6,
speech writing,
extreme lack of sleep,
keeping to the insane schedule of a 14 hour day,
and what not.

this is the way to end it off.
nice quiet dinner at a friend's house, home-made of course..
angel hair pasta (i love!), beef and chicken kebabs, and salad
i didnt even have to lift a finger! haha

random trip to ntuc
because our french friend here desperately wanted to get something
except that after an unsuccessful trip
we found out that it wasnt even available yet.
and he was so depressed and upset! haha really quite funny.

macaroons from Meert, one of the oldest bakeries in France..
lovingly carried all the way back.. how sweet!
and really sweet they were! think i like the raspberry one best.

baby cupcakes from liz, and a toddler one from belle.
the toddler was good, like a brownie.. and from our dear friend shuping
who is supposedly really skinny now! hmmm..

hanging around talking about how uneducated i am
because clementi doesnt have a library!!!
updates from everyone whom i havent seen for the longest time!
like belle who is finally going to watch jie lun in concert,
jas who is going back to bangkok AGAIN!
and steph who almost got shipped off by a cowboy
who lives in a town with 500 people and 4 shops.

i seriously cant imagine how boring my life would be
without these wonderful friends of mine.

fancy dress party!
the first ive ever been to..
and hilarious hilarious it was!
i met a pope wearing red crocs, who came with 2 guards flanking his sides.
3 nuns, 2 of them male.
a table full of clowns, another of soccer players, blackjack dealers..
then chefs, pilots, stewardesses, beauty pageant contestants, surgeons, samsui women, pirates, contractors, army personal, naval officers and so many many more!
the funniest thing in the world i swear!!
oh, and i was a doctor.

highlight of my evening, other than meeting the pope and his 2 guards..
was meeting this really super hot chick..
when i first saw her i thought she was quite hot..
then she went to change, and when she came out i promptly got a heart attack and a nose bleed.
hellooooooo-o!! words simply cannot describe my infatuation.
of course i got pictures of her, but nah-uh not sharing!

so despite my severe reluctance to attend this event
im glad i went in the end
cos it turned out to be quite fun, and many good laughs were had.. (:

railway mall this afternoon just cos we were around the area..
discovered this nice little italian cafe called galbiati.
hello good pizza and good antipastas and good desserts and good coffee
wonderful simply wonderful!

grilled vegetable pizza, and smoked salmon pizza..
nice and thin, with a crunchy pizza base.

smoked salmon, and stuffed portobello mushroom.

apple pie. is damn good!
has pine nuts inside! nice!
first apple pie ive had with so much icing sugar on top,
but surprisingly it really goes together, and isnt overly sweet.
comes with cream sauce.

tiramisu, in a cup.
good textures, and sponge fingers arent too soggy.

finally cappuccinos. ((:

spent quite a bit of money here, but at least everything was nice and tasty.
