end of an era.

last week was a week of wonderful news, excitement, friends and family.

monday ventured out of our usual supper teh spots into toa payoh
where everything turned out to be closed???
so much so that we had to move to a different location?
haha sheesh..
and i got scolded by fiona for being dirty like jamie oliver..
but you see, that was all an accident while i was squeezing the lemon SLICES!
so totally not my fault i kept finding bits of lemon on myelf haha
(and fiona really knows how to keep a secret man.)

new supper spot no. 2 on thursday at the hong kong cafe in tanjong katong
cos liz had an early flight the next morning.
everyone's food was a bit funky except my beef brisket noodles
which steph came and hijacked haha
but then she also ate up all of liz's baked rice hahaha
but at least she didnt RUN there..! like in her sweaty shirt and shorts all
i was totally expecting her to do that!
and ALL of us made it there for supper!
heh belle and i had a wonderful conversation in the car about the strange phone call fiona received earlier that day too funny too funny!!!
just thinking about it makes me laugh
liz and fiona went off first but the rest of us
stayed till past 1am! late late for us!
so drove the bishan buddies home i went!

wine company (finally!) on friday night was good good good..
our party of people just kept growing and growing..
much reason there was to celebrate!
even sean was there! haha
i finally saw matthieu!! after such a long time
that i cant even remember when! hahaha
as usual, he was very funny! like mr bean, just without a suit haha
belle managed to come down even though not for long.. but GJB!
shared a mushroom and smoked salmon pasta with fiona
(and you know the next day i kept shitting and shitting???! oh god never ending! heh but its all good now!)
amazingly, no one drove! i dont think its happened before?!

saturday was family day at grandma's house
and we all brought food over for dinner..
but the funniest thing was, no one told my grandpa we were coming over
so he was having dinner when we arrived??? hahahaha
all was good anyway, cos we brought meatball pasta and my sister's signature salad
with lovely spinach, strawberries, feta cheese, pickled onions, pine nuts and i dont know what else!
my cousin bought satay and my uncle brought a gigantic plate of steamed prawnssss
oooohhh i loveee!!!!!
i cant even begin to tell you how many prawns i ate man..
my plate was piled high with all the shells
and i was the last person left eating at the table!
finishing off the prawns! haha
well well good shit i sayyy...
and the salad was hot stuff too man.. all snapped up
first dish to be wiped out!! wowww..
very gastronomically satisfied!

closed off the rest of the weekend playing with my little cousin
all of sunday afternoon.. took up so much energy!
and reading my book.. which i have yet to finish
cos i am slow and lousy that way argh!!


so that was the end of it.
now i move on to new things.
