anjappar @ little india

right opposite the entrance of mustafa
is a whole row of indian restaurants.
darren wanted indian food, and we decided to try
something other than our usual New Delhi indian restaurant
in where else, but little india.

wandered around the lanes, checking out the little joints
before settling on anjappar.
its next to a few others that only had vegetarian food,
and hey, it had aircon!
perfect setting for a spicy meal dont you think?

i dont even remember what exactly we ordered.
fish curry (this was my favourite, the gravy was nice and salty haha!), prawn masala (this was damn damn hot!), bindi (ladies fingers) masala, quail with spices and stuff, mutton something, and chicken something.
not forgetting vegetable briyani,
which was so good we ordered another bowl of it..
the rice came hot, fluffy, and tasty,
so much that my mom instantly started raving about it.

plus plus plus cheese naan and garlic naan!
oh god seriously, the best naan i have ever had. seriously.
i fell in love with it and was just busy eating naan the whole time!
when we ran out of it i had no idea what to do with myself!
i havent eaten much naan in singapore,
just at a couple of places in fact..
but i know a good naan when i taste one!
the naan here, has a buttery taste on top of it..
its as though you ordered butter garlic naan
instead of just garlic naan.
tasty, fragrant, not too floury, and not too thick,
so good you can even eat it on its own.

well done anjappar!
well done, i say!
