relish @ cluny court

relish burgers for lunch on a saturday afternoon, really good stuff i say!
oh wow oh wee! everything is damn good!

mexicana burger, and wild rocket burger..
which came with thick cut fries, and im not much of a fry person
i can only eat so much of them, but these were the shits!
the meat patties are done medium rare, and done just right i say!
all that juicy and meaty flavour in there..

cream of carrot soup (of the day)..
i know this sounds silly..
but its really made from lots of carrots, and not much else.
it tastes like how my mom makes pumpkin soup - from just pumpkins.
so this carrot soup is awesomely wholesome!

tomato cream crab pasta (of the day)..
well done, i say!
the sauce was thick enough to coat the pasta, but not so thick its gelat..
no soggyness there, and enough crab in the sauce..
tagliatelle was al dente, one of the best cooked pastas i remember.
i always have this annoyance with under or over cooked pasta
so trust me when i say, this one is cooked just right.

seared tuna salad..
entirely made out of baby spinach, which is why its pricey.
plus red and yellow cherry tomatoes
topped with thick slices of well, pan seared tuna.
drizzled with olive oil, and a garlic sauce which had a hint of ginger.
goes really really well with the tuna
which has such a lovely colour i tell you!
white flesh round the rim, and the pinkish raw colour in the middle.
oh how lovely how lovely!

chocolate with cointreau milkshake..
was thick and rich and chocolately with just that hint of cointreau
to give it that extra umph.

overall very very satisfying. slightly pricey for the kinds of food,
but then again it is a restaurant, and the quality of ingredients is there.
i feel its more suited as a good lunch place,
with the high ceilings, white walls, big windows and wooden furniture.
perfect for a lazy weekend afternoon.
